Our Case Consultancy service provides robust, hands-on support for managing complex SEND cases, guiding parents and practitioners through challenging situations with a structured and legally informed approach. This service includes comprehensive case management, representation, and document preparation, ensuring that you have expert assistance at every stage of the SEND process.

What We Offer:

  • Comprehensive Case Management: Ongoing guidance for handling complex SEND issues, from school exclusions to multi-agency involvement.
  • Meeting Attendance: Representation at Independent Review Panels for school exclusions, multi-agency meetings, CAMHS, and Social Care sessions.
  • Document Review and Preparation: Detailed review and feedback on multiple documents (three to five), including EHCP needs assessments, tribunal documentation, and reports.
  • EHCP Submission and Appeals: Assistance with preparing and submitting EHCP Needs Assessments to Local Authorities, as well as applications for Higher Needs Funding.
  • Legal and Compliance Support: Expert review and response to Local Authority decisions, ensuring compliance with key legislation (Children and Families Act, 2014; Education Act, 1996).
  • Tribunal and Mediation Preparation: Comprehensive preparation for mediation, SEND Tribunals, and judicial reviews, with representation for various SEND appeals.
  • DLA and PIP Applications: Guidance and support in Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and Personal Independence Payment (PIP) applications.

  • Flexible Consultations: Face-to-face appointments, virtual meetings, and phone consultations available for convenience and accessibility.
  • Qualified Practitioners: Services led by SEND Law-trained educational consultants and psychologists, including specialists in ADOS and ADIR assessments.
  • Detailed Record of Actions: Written record of all advice, recommended actions, and timelines provided after each consultation.
  • Customised Documentation: Tailored documents and correspondence created based on your situation, referencing relevant laws and case precedents.
  • Follow-up Support: Review of incoming correspondence and preparation of responses on your behalf, with your authorisation.

Service Structure and Rates:

  • Initial Consultation: £120 (up to 60 minutes)
  • Follow-up Consultations: £160 per session (includes meeting time or time-tracked work on your case)
  • Additional Costs: Travel per mile, overnight stays, and extra document review as required.

For urgent matters, an Express Response service is also available.
