Interventions

Edvocation® offer a range of interventions, some of which involve our strategic partners.  Interventions are organised around the profile of needs of individuals, and small groups. These can be offered as one-off sessions or as six week programmes built around your needs. These include:

  • Individual child/young person support - for example for Specific Learning Difficulties (such as Dyslexia/Dyscalculia), social skills, emotional and mental health management.
  • Lego Therapy; Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Approach; Social Skills and thinking programmes; Health and Activity Mentorship; Mindfulness and Drama.
  • Mentoring key staff in social skills interventions and inclusion practices.

Intervention sessions are recommended as being between 30- and 60-minutes on a once-a-week basis.  This is  dependent on a young person’s profile, such as age and issues being experienced.  Edvocation® Services offer social, emotional, mental health and well-being programmes and social skills and communication mentoring to support the development of social skills for young people who are having difficulties in their relationships and interactions.

Sessions are individually tailored to incorporate blended, integrative and evidenced-based approaches, such as of mindfulness and creative cognitive behavioural therapy tailored around the profile of a young person. This is to introduce different activities that support them to challenge and reframe automatic negative thoughts needed to change response behaviours.
